The mucus that drips from a Runnino's nose is icy cold. They have learned to use this to their advantage and can sneeze out storms of freezing mucus to defend themselves.
Runnino are constantly afflicted with colds, and their noses never stop running. Over time the mucus collects on their faces and freezes into solid ice.
