Pokédex Entries

Mandragoon are fairly docile Pokémon unless disturbed, at which point they will screech deafeningly. It was once believed that a Mandragoon's screams were deadly to those who heard them.


When they are not hunting prey or foraging for fruit, Mandragoon will dig their long, root-like tails into the ground and use it to soak up nutrients from the earth. They can also use their tails to drain energy out of live prey.

Mandragoon 3.0 (2020)
In addition to general coloring and linework cleanup, this new design is a little more colorful (with petals a bit like an actual Mandragora plant), and hopefully looks a bit more like a Grass-type rather than 'just a green dragon'. Also, its mouth is open wider for a proper scream.

Much less Charizard-like and more its own thing, but aside from being green it isn't much of a Grass-type, is it? The root-tail by itself doesn't help as much as I first assumed it did.

I haven't been able to find the earliest picture I drew of Mandragoon, though as far as I recall it was basically just a green Charizard. (Well, intended to be green; I don't remember actually coloring it.)
