The bead-like scales on a Thunderma's back generate electricity. It is said that their tails hold so much power that a single strike delivers as severe a shock as a bolt of lightning.
A potent venomous bite and a strong electrical charge make Thunderma seem like menacing Pokémon, but most are quite docile. They usually prefer to avoid human contact, but on occasion some have startled trainers by sidling up and looking for food.
