                These moves have a direct effect on their target's mental state. Aroma Veil  prevents these moves from affecting the bearer and its teammates, and a held Mental Herb will immediately remove their effects if the holder is targeted. Mental Garden  can also prevent these moves and cure their effects.

                         Attract Normal Other — 100% 15 If it is the opposite gender of the user, the target becomes infatuated and less likely to attack.    Disable Normal Other — 100% 20 For four turns, this move prevents the target from using the move it last used.    Encore Normal Other — 100% 5 The user compels the target to keep using only the move it last used for three turns.    Heal Block Psychic Other — 100% 15 For five turns, the user prevents the opposing team from using any moves, Abilities, or held items that recover HP.    Taunt Dark Other — 100% 20 The target is taunted into a rage that allows it to use only attack moves for three turns.
